Coolsmurf’s YT account got deleted

Very suddenly coolsmurf’s Youtube account got suspended. SBS claimed he was acting against copyrights.

New job as translator and cultural differences

While waiting for the approval for my scholarship, so that I can start doing research and write my diploma thesis in Korea, I started to look for a job and had an interview today.

I dressed nicely and tried not too sweat too much (it was 30C°) and right before entering the office building, I stepped with my tiny high heels into a chewing gum. I felt like Mr. Bean for a second, fortunately no one saw that.

Tomorrow starts my job training for two days as translator and friday I am working on my own if I don’t mess up the training. I have good experiences from my time as apprentice translator in Qingdao, China, and hope to be able to show all my language skills.

Before I started studying translation studies and psychology, I learned Occupational Therapy, therefore I am the specialist for medical and psychological literature in the office. Later I might do intercultural trainings, as my studies also included studies on korean and chinese cultur. I think that a lot of misunderstandings between the different cultures can be avoided if the people are provided with some information beforehand. That is very important for international companies.

For example:

Korean language is very polite and there are 6 different steps of honorable speech. To be able to use the correct level of politeness, a korean will always ask you, how old you are, if you are married, what your job is and how much you earn. It is not out of curiosity but to help him level you and use the correct honorable forms in speech.

Germans often are offended if asked so directly and feel very awkward and a meeting can take a totally different turn, only because the cultural misunderstanding.

Cultural difference is a very interesting topic. I have korean origins and live in Germany and have experienced a lot of misunderstandings and prejudices. I could talk about all that for hours but don’t want to bother you anymore for the moment.

When Nicholas Tse and Cecilia Cheung married in 2006, I thought they are the perfect couple and when Cecilia gave birth to her son Lucas, the family seemed to be happy.

The rumours about Cecilia cheating on Nicholas seemed to be false…

..until January this year, when sexually explicit and nude photographs of Edison Chen with female celebreties from the Hongkong entertainment business were spread throughout the internet. First I thought, maybe just second class celebreties and maybe just faked or semi-nude pictures, but those pictures are shocking and the list of women involved are: Gillian Chung, Bobo Chan, Mandy Chen, Candace Chan, Rachel Ngan and Cecilia Cheung.

Nicholas took off the marriage ring and has to separate from Cecila for at least a year to be able to divorce her. I heard rumours he doubts paternity of his son Lucas and initiated a test. Cecilia not only cheated on him before the marriage, but also after she married and Nicholas made her promise to stay away from Edison.

Although Edison apologized in public for having caused grief for the involved women and their families and stepped away from the entertainment business, the damage he has brought is out of control.

Of course, those women are not innocent, as they like to claim they are, and stupid for having posed for those pictures in the first place. They not only brought dishonor for themself but also for their family. I don’t think that Lucas Tse will have a good time when others tell him, his mum has a “shaving problem”.

Tournament in Soukutsu

The RP Village Soukutsu held a tournament last Saturday and here are some scenes from it. And yes, it’s crappy like hell, this is my first Video I ever made

As you will see, the tournament kinda got a bit out of control and three persons fight each other same time…that’s why there will be another tournament coming Saturday. First place winner gets Lindens.
